The sanctuary is the work of everyone who joins, supports and contributes. Some people can give their time, some can give a little help every month and some want to follow one particular animal. These are the main ways to help and what each one does for the animals.

Sponsor an animal

The sanctuary's residents cannot be adopted: because of age, health or temperament, this is their home for life. By sponsoring one of them, you contribute to that animal's food and vet care, every month or as a one-off.

What you receive: photos and news of your sponsored animal and the chance to visit, by appointment.

Who it's for: anyone who would like a close bond with an animal, even from a distance. It also makes a meaningful gift.

Become a member

Members give the association stability: the annual fee helps us plan the year and respond to whatever is needed, wherever it is needed. Both individuals and organisations can become members.

What you receive:

  • The newsletter, with news, photos of the animals and the association's events.
  • A discount on the association's services, such as boarding.
  • Access to the care agreement, which ensures your animal comes to live at the sanctuary if you have a long illness or die.
  • The client area, where you can renew your membership and see your receipts.

Who it's for: anyone who believes in the project and wants to be part of it on an ongoing basis.

Volunteer

Volunteers are the sanctuary's hands: walks, grooming, cleaning the shelters, helping with boarding, events, adoption fairs, communications and transport. You start with an induction morning and then choose when you can come. There is always someone from the team with you.

What you receive: quality time with the animals, a team with the same spirit, what you learn about animal behaviour and welfare and, if you ask, a certificate of your volunteering.

Who it's for: anyone aged 18 or over, or from 12 with a parent or legal guardian.

Which one to choose?

There's no right answer. You can start with whatever is easiest for you and add others later. Many of our volunteers are also sponsors, and many sponsors have gone on to become members. What matters is that every contribution goes straight to the animals.
